Marlon Williams Takes Home Two Awards At NZ Music Awards

Good job, neighbourino!

Bluesman Marlon Williams, who recently took off his kit for the intriguing video for Hello Miss Lonesome, has picked up two of the top honours at the New Zealand Music Awards last night, as reported by stuff.co.nz.

Williams, who is also slated in to showcase at SXSW next year, won the award for Best Male Solo Artist as well as Breakthrough Artist Of The Year, the latter presented by fellow Kiwi making a mark on the international arena, Lorde.

Williams and his acclaimed debut self-titled album were nominated for five NZ Music Awards in total. Next week, Williams will take to the ARIA Awards, where he'll battle it out for Best Blues & Roots Album alongside CW Stoneking, The Waifs and Tim Rogers & The Bamboos.
