Creed and Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti has cancelled his appearance at Soundwave 2013 only a day after being added to the lineup.
Tremonti and Canadian pop punk band Living With Lions were added to the Soundwave 2013 lineup on Wednesday. However, Tremonti has since taken to Twitter to announce he won’t be appearing due to the festival’s invite coming “too late”.
According to Soundwave boss AJ Maddah, the festival didn’t receive Tremonti’s response to the invite due to a communication fault caused by the recent hurricane in New York.There has obviously been some confusion about Soundwave.We wanted to go badly but the invite came too late and we already put another tour..

As it turns out Tremonti sent request no to be announced but chain of communication was broken by NY Hurricane & we didn't get in time #SW13

Three time Guitar World `Guitarist of the Year’ and Total Guitar’s fourth greatest heavy metal guitarist of all time, Tremonti released his debut solo album All I Was in July this year.
There’s been no word on a replacement act yet.
