Two cities, two opening acts.
Not only is legendary US musician Mark Lanegan heading to Australia this month for the 2016 Splendour In The Grass, but he's also going to be performing some headline gigs in Melbourne and Sydney and today the support acts for those shows have been announced.
In Sydney, hometown outfit The Laurels will open for Lanegan who are in fact busy working on their second debut album slated for release later this year.
Fans can expect to be the first to hear some of the new material from the psych-rock quartet who have shared the stage with names such as Tame Impala, Swervedriver, Pond and many more.
Meanwhile, having recently wrapped a European and Australian tour with Minnesota heavyweights Low, former The Drones drummer Mike Noga and his band will take on opening duties at Lanegan's Melbourne show.
