Mark Hoppus Confirms Blink-182 Album Timeframe

Following the recent confirmation from US pop-punk forefathers blink-182 that they would be reconvening to record a new album, bassist Mark Hoppus has delivered an approximate timeframe for when the resilient three-piece plan to hit the studio and consequently release the record.

In an audio post released on fledgling platform Melt (via Twitter), Hoppus explains that he and bandmates Tom DeLonge — who initially confirmed the plans for the new album — and Travis Barker will be heading into the studio to start writing and recording just as soon as they've wrapped their (US) summer tour, for which they've several dates in the UK and Europe in August.

Still, as Property of Zack notes, DeLonge's side/passion project Angels & Airwaves are scheduled to tour in the US autumn, which could push things back at least until after September for the wheels to get rolling on the blink-182 album train.
