'The Pale Emperor' can be yours from late January
Veteran shock rocker Marilyn Manson has announced his return to active duty with the revelation that he will be releasing his ninth studio album, The Pale Emperor, early next year.
Following 2012's Born Villain, The Pale Emperor is projected to be purchasable from January 19, 2015, internationally and January 20 in the US, putting the Australian release date either the Friday before (January 17) or after (January 24), as per existing release standards.
The Soundwave-bound icon's newest album is already available for pre-order via multiple outlets, including iTunes, with the standard version comprising ten tracks, and a further three bonuses available for those who take up the offer of the deluxe version. Pre-orders entail a complimentary immediate download of first album taste Third Day Of A Seven Day Binge, which you can hear in streaming quality below.
Although Third Day Of A Seven Day Binge is the first official single to be taken from the album, bits and pieces of The Pale Emperor have been popping up in a diverse array of places — Cupid Carries A Gun, for example, has been used as the opening theme for TV show Salem, while album opener Killing Strangers was recently synced to Keanu Reeves' comeback action flick John Wick.
