"They were still throwing bottles at me and getting my computer and keyboard wet; had to step off stage before they f**ked up my equipment permanently."

In hugely embarrassing news for every well-behaved Australian punter out there, US electronic musician Marc Rebillet was forced off stage during his Listen Out 2023 set in Adelaide when the crowd began shouting abuse and hurling bottles at the muso.
Rebillet’s set took place before US rap sensation Ice Spice, with crowd members mostly there to see the Deli rapper.
“F*** off and get Ice Spice,” one festival-goer is heard yelling, with the audience soon breaking into a chant of “Get off! Get off!”.
As the crowd became more aggressive, throwing bottles and various items at the star, he was lead away by a group of security guards 30 minutes before his set was supposed to end.
Footage of the gross incident has since gone viral, with Rebillet sharing a snippet of the angry punters on social media, saying: “Got decimated tonight playing before Ice Spice. This was before they started throwing shit.”
“I don’t blame them entirely, they’re just children and my set was in the way of their Munch. Still, kind of a crazy thing to experience! Hope they become cooler adults.”

One fan replied to the star, praising him on how he “turned it around” in the end, to which he replied: “Hahaha I tried! They were still throwing bottles at me and getting my computer and keyboard wet; had to step off stage before they fucked up my equipment permanently. Aaaaanyway I’m done ranting, bless their hearts 🤷♂️”
On Sunday night, Rebillet threw a cheeky dig at the South Australian city, leading a chant of “fuck Adelaide” during his set at the Perth leg of Listen Out.
The show goes on this weekend, with both Melbourne and Sydney set to watch the likes of Skrillex, Four Tet, Lil Uzi Vert and many more hit the stage for their respective legs of the event.
Let’s hope these crowds are far more respectful when it comes to concert etiquette…
