A 24-year-old man has been found dead in a car at the site of three-day rural NSW festival Omega Festival.
As ABC reports, the death appears to be drug-related, and promoters of the unauthorised dance festival - held on a private property in Newton Boyd – are refusing to shut down the rave, despite police requests.

Kicking off on Saturday afternoon, the body was discovered about 200 metres from the mains stage on Sunday, with the 2,500 people festival operating today.
Originally slated to take place on an Aboriginal reserve at Jubullum Village at Tubulam, promoters were forced to relocate last minute after failing to obtain the correct permits from Clarence Valley Council.
"They're very hard to pick up, they move rapidly around different sites,” environment and planning director Des Schroder said
Police don’t have the power to shut the rave down, and had to obtain a warrant to enter the property to investigate.
"What we're doing is we're monitoring for noise pollution, and until those complaints come through there's not much that we can do."
