Man in his 30s has not been identified
A man in his 30s has drowned in Sydney harbour during the opening night of the Vivid festival.
According to police reports emergency services responded to calls that a man had fallen into the Darling Harbour waters at 11pm last night. Despite an extensive search to locate him – including two people who were with him at the time entering the water – his body was recovered at 1.30am this morning.
According to The Daily Telegraph the search included other members of the public, police divers, a helicopter and bouncers from the Home Nightclub, which the incident took place out front of.
It is believed the man fell during the Vivid light show, which included music, with other onlookers unaware of the incident.
