It’s a big day for The Music cover star Mallrat, as the singer has been announced as the special guest for Kylie Minogue’s upcoming Australian Tension Tour.

Since making her debut in 2016, the project of Brisbane-based artist Grace Shaw, better known as Mallrat, has bloomed. She’s shared stages with Post Malone, Maggie Rogers, and Conan Gray and collaborated with Azealia Banks, Cub Sport, The Chainsmokers, BENEE, and others while being a festival favourite at Laneway, Splendour In The Grass, and Listen Out.

Next week, Mallrat will release her highly anticipated second album, Light hit my face like a straight right, following the release of singles Pavement, Hocus Pocus, Ray Of Light, and Horses. You can pre-order/pre-save the album here.

On Instagram, Mallrat quipped that she’s going to receive her “PHD in pop princessery” opening for Kylie Minogue.
