Happening this weekend!

More Malawurr More Malawurr

Indigenous outfit Malawurr have their sights set on Europe, and they’ve announced a fundraising gig for this weekend at The Curtin to help document the journey.

The Melbourne event will take place this Sunday, June 30, and will feature Malawurr alongside Hiatus Kaiyote’s Nai Palm and Shako Squilla.

Funds raised will be used to produce a documentary named Morning Star, which is a sequel to 2017’s Westwind: Djalu’s Legacy.

Malawurr's European tour will see them perform at WOMAD UK, Rêve de l’Aborigenè in France and at venues across Wales and Prague.

Check out theGuide for all the details on this weekend's show and the below video (featuring Game Of Thrones' Jerome Flynn) for more insight into Morning Star.
