First In Heart’s Wake’s Divination and now Neverbloom by Make Them Suffer - how have these albums turned ten already?
To celebrate the album that started it all, Make Them Suffer are embarking on the Neverbloom 10-Year Anniversary Tour this May and June, with special guests Fit For An Autopsy coming all the way from New Jersey, as well as metalcore locals Ocean Sleeper.
That’s not all - Neverbloom is now available on vinyl for the first time, and fans can listen to a remastered version of the album on streaming services. Get your copy here.
“Neverbloom holds a profound significance in our hearts as it embodies the very essence and cornerstone of our musical identity,” vocalist Sean Harmanis said. “Despite our departure from it’s sound over the years, the album remains indispensable in our catalogue, as it continues to this day to inspire our artistic pursuits. We couldn’t be more excited to perform some of these songs for the first and last time live and we can’t wait to see you all there!”
Make Them Suffer will be celebrating the album in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and their first-ever gig in Darwin. Pre-sale tickets are available now, with general public tickets going on sale on Tuesday, 14 March, at 12 pm AEDT via Destroy All Lines.
Neverbloom will be played front-to-back with their newest member, Alex Reade, on keyboards and vocals. Make Them Suffer announced the inclusion of Alex Reade to their lineup and released a blistering new single, Doomswitch, last October. Between the light and dark dynamic with frontman Sean Harmanis and Reade's vocals and the jagged riffs, the metalcore group sound reinvigorated. And yes, Reade really is playing the keytar; it's not just for the music video.
In a recent Kill Your Stereo interview, Reade revealed that she’s a longtime fan of Make Them Suffer - her joining the band is a dream come true.
"When we're on stage and hearing the songs, part of me feels like I'm in the audience. And I'm so happy to hear them, and then I go, 'wait, no, you're on stage, you're playing this shit,'" she laughed. "So it's quite an honour to play songs that I've listened to and loved for years, that I have to pinch myself and say you are part of this now. The band was very accepting of me straight away, which is an incredible feeling."
