Los Angeles duo Magdalena Bay were already set to visit Australia for the first time in 2025, with appearances at the Yours & Owls and Golden Plains music festivals already confirmed.
Between those festival dates—1 March and 8-10 March—Magdalena Bay have announced their debut Australian headline tour dates.
Starting the run at Sydney’s Roundhouse on Sunday, 2 March, the duo will then head to Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Wednesday, 5 March, and wrap up their inaugural Australian run at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Friday, 7 March.
Secret Sounds subscribers can access pre-sale tickets on Monday, 18 November, at 10 am local time. You can sign up for pre-sale tickets here. The general sale opens on Tuesday, 19 November, at 11 am local time via the Secret Sounds website.
The tour announcement comes after Magdalena Bay released their new album, Imaginal Disk, in August. They’ve recently performed to sold-out audiences across the US, appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and are selling tickets fast in the UK and Europe.
The duo, comprising couple Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin, have amassed massive popularity in the last year and have been a respected group in the indie-pop field.

“Something about this music feels a little different,” Tenenbaum said of their latest LP. “We're not as worried about sticking to a prescriptive structure, and it felt very free making these songs. Maybe it's just taken us this long to finally combine all the facets of what we listen to but also what we like and what we want to make as musicians.
“The process of making music together is so natural that when we sat back and sequenced everything and listened, it was almost like the album existed in and of itself. Yeah, it's probably a little more experimental, but hopefully people like that. This is it in its final form, and the rest will just have to be what it is.”
