Madonna is poised to announce details of her Australian tour, but it seems we're going to have to wait a little longer for them.

Heavily rumoured earlier this year, it appears that the tour - which will be promoted by Live Nation - will be announced following the Olympics despite, apparently, being slated for much sooner.

In today's Hit, the entertainment supplement that is syndicated across News Limited newspapers, their 'Hot Or Not' barometer of issues from the week carries a mention of the imminent tour.

Further details of the tour, which will be the pop music icon's first tour of Australia in 20 years, have not yet been announced, but it is slated to happen early next year.

A representative from Live Nation could not comment on the matter to theMusic.com.au today.
