Luke Steele Teams With Aussie Songwriter For New Music Project: 'We Just Connected'

Aussie heavyweight Luke Steele has teamed with a fellow local artist for a brand new project. 

The Sleepy Jackson, Empire Of The Sun and DREAMS songwriter has joined forces with Melbourne-born Jarrad Rogers (Charli XCX, Lana Del Rey) to create H3000 "which seeks to tune the heart to a Year 3000 frequency where profound imagery and a melodic anchor challenge the listener to make a connection". 

The duo are debuting the project with first single, July Heat; check it out below. 

 “It was the start of summer in California, which is always such a great time,” Steele says of how the collaboration came to be.

“We just connected. The band is about the heavens and what will be the issues of the heart in the year 3000."

He continued, "Working on H3000 was like a dream.

"We started at one place and ended at another; you don’t really understand how you got there, but you know it was guided by something very special.”

H3000 are expected to release more music this year.
