Lou Reed passes away

Respected US musician Lou Reed has passed away aged 71. Reed died in hospital over the weekend, with the official cause, complications from a liver transplant. “Reed's literary agent, Andrew Wylie, said the musician died on Sunday morning in Southampton, New York, of an illness related to the transplant,” The Guardian writes. "The world has lost a fine songwriter and poet … I've lost my school-yard buddy,” John Cale, co-founding member of the Velvet Underground said.
