Lou Reed Masturbates Daily To Stay Creative

American rock icon Lou Reed has revealed a bit too much information when he was asked how he stays creative in the current music industry.

“I masturbate every day,” was the reply a reporter got at press conference at the Cannes Lions festival yesterday, according to Mumbrella.

Reed also went against the notion that musicians who work with advertisers are "sell-outs", with the former principal songwriter of The Velvet Underground saying, “it used to be that being involved in advertising was selling out. Now it's opposite.”

While we could have done without knowing about the legendary rocker's creativity motivator, he's certainly not alone in the musician wanking club. The local wannabe version of One Direction, The Janoskians (wait, sorry, they're #notaboyband) recently found themselves in a whole lotta strife with their public wanking prank video. And it's not like the subject of masturbation hasn't been sung about before - heck, we Aussies sing about it A LOT.
