This is huge.
Ed Sheeran is aiming to go nine straight weeks atop the ARIA Albums chart this week with ÷ (Divide), but according to midweek figures, the run could very well come to an end thanks to Australia's own Bliss N Eso.
The hip hop group's sixth studio album, Off The Grid, is gunning for a top three debut, as is Gorillaz' comeback LP, Humanz (which we gave a rare five-star review for!).
Sheeran has managed to fight off the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Northlane during the streak but Bliss n Eso are the current favourite to swoop in at #1 on the back of their last two records, Circus In The Sky (2013) and Running On Air (2010), which both peaked in the top spot.
The news may also surprise fans given the highly-anticipated return of Gorillaz, but the UK outfit are in with a strong chance and should finish in the top three.

Other albums debuting on the list this week include Adam Harvey & Beccy Cole's The Great Country Songbook Vol II (top ten), Lea Michele's Places (top 20), CBD's Tailored For Now — 11 R&B Super Jams and New Found Glory's Makes Me Sick (all top 30), as well as Airling's Hard To Sleep, Easy To Dream, Willie Nelson's God's Problem Child, Tim Rogers' An Actor Repairs (top 40), Mark Lanegan Band's Gargoyle and Feist's Pleasure (top 50).
On the Singles chart, Sheeran's Shape Of You is no guarantee to maintain #1 either thanks to the debut of DJ Khaled's new hit Quavo featuring Justin Bieber, which should debut in the top three.
Expect to see a string of new tracks land in the top 50, including Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne's I'm The One, Kygo & Ellie Goulding's First Time, Katy Perry's Bon Appétit featuring Migos, Cashmere Cat's Quit featuring Ariana Grande and Charlie Puth's Attention.
