Some of the biggest names in American music festivals – Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, and Austin City Limits – will stream live on Disney+ and Hulu for the first time, allowing audiences in Australia to tune in and catch unmissable moments from the comfort of their living rooms.

A press release also notes that the two streaming services will welcome the on-site content studio at the festivals, Live Set, which will feature artist interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from the events.

Australians with a Disney+ subscription can watch as the festivals stream live on the following dates: Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival on Friday, 12 to Monday, 15 June, Lollapalooza from Friday, 31 July, to Monday, 3 August, and Austin City Limits on Saturday, 3 October, to Monday, 5 October. Viewers will need to figure out the set times in AEST.

“Music festivals are among the most electric, can’t-miss moments in culture, and now Disney+ and Hulu subscribers around the world can experience the excitement,” commented Lauren Tempest, Head of Content Planning & Partnerships, DTC at The Walt Disney Company.

“As we continue to extend our live offerings, we remain committed to bringing fans the biggest, most iconic moments right as they happen, and are thrilled to bring that vision to life with Live Nation.”

Kevin Chernett, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Media Partnerships at Live Nation, added, “Music festivals used to be experiences reserved for the people who could physically be there. Now, they’re becoming global live moments that fans want to experience together in real time, no matter where they are in the world.

“Expanding this partnership with Disney+ and Hulu allows these festivals to reach music fans at an entirely different scale.”

In terms of the line-ups, there’s plenty that Aussies will want to see at these festivals. New Zealand pop icon Lorde headlines Lollapalooza alongside Olivia Dean, Charli xcx, Tate McRae, The XX, Jennie, John Summit, and The Smashing Pumpkins.

Bands such as Viagra Boys, Wolf Alice, and Wet Leg appear on the line-up, and Australia is represented by the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer, Empire of the Sun, Ninajirachi, Spacey Jane, Alison Wonderland, and Ecca Vandal.

Sharing some headliners with Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits is led by Charli xcx, Skrillex, Kings of Leon, Turnstile, Lorde, Lola Young, Young Miko, Twenty One Pilots, The XX, Geese, Sofi Tukker, and Australia’s own RÜFÜS DU SOL.

Meanwhile, The Strokes, Turnstile, Skrillex and Noah Kahan lead the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival line-up alongside RÜFÜS DU SOL, Teddy Swims, Kesha, The Neighbourhood, Role Model, and Griz.
