Tributes have featured prominently, via social media, this week following the passing of respected front of house engineer, Westley Higgins.
The lasting impact Higgins had on the local musical community has been reflected in the sheer amount of outpouring from friends and peers alike, who each paid their respects in various online posts.
Northlane:
"Yesterday we received some terrible news from the other side of the world. A very good friend of ours had passed on.

Wes Higgins did our front of house sound for about two years. He was and forever will be a much loved mate of ours. He was one of the most loyal and fun loving people we were lucky enough to meet. He gave many people in the industry a head start, many of our crew still this day started their careers under Wes' close watch.
Most of all, he was always there for any of his mates if they needed him, and that's what he'll be remembered for the most.
Rest in peace Wes, we hope there's an unlimited supply of dare iced coffees wherever you've ended up."
Statues:
"Everyone here in Statues want to pass on our condolences to the family and friends of Wes Higgins. We did Northlane's Singularity Tour with Wes in 2013, and while we only got to hang out for a few weeks, we all loved the guy to bits.
Rest in Peace, Wes."

So sad to hear the music world lost another of its own; @westleyhiggins was on our first real tour & taught us the value of a good engineer.
