The world's largest live entertainment company, Live Nation has expanded its influence in New Zealand, today announcing they have taken a controlling interest in the annual Rhythm And Vines Festival.
Founded in 2003, the three-day New Year’s event is New Zealand’s largest music and camping festival, hosting the likes of Chance The Rapper, Public Enemy, Moby, LCD Soundsystem, Schoolboy Q, Rufus, Tinie Tempah, Ladyhawk and more over the years.
“Over the course of 15 years, Rhythm And Vines has curated a wonderful line up of both domestic and international talent in one of the most beautiful parts of our country,” Live Nation New Zealand chairman Stuart Clumpas said.
“It has become a household name in New Zealand and we’re excited to be adding the festival to the Live Nation portfolio and welcoming its experienced team to the company."

Rhythm And Vines CEO Kieran Spillane said the partnership would ensure their longterm vision for the event and would help them grow.
“This partnership will allow us to attract the very best acts, delivering a unique festival experience in New Zealand,” he said.
“We have grown the event to become a world-class three day festival,” co-founder Hamish Pinkham added.
"This partnership will ensure this legacy continues and I'm excited for the future of the festival with our partners at Live Nation.”
Live Nation took a controller share of Auckland’s 12,000-capacity Spark Arena back in 2016, after expanding Austin City Limits to New Zealand with Auckland City Limits.
Rhythm And Vines Festival joins Splendour In The Grass, Download, Lollapalooza, Reading and more in Live Nation’s global festival portfolio.
