Listen To Iggy & The Stooges' First New Track In 40 Years

Burn, the first single from their new album, has just surfaced online.

The first new song from Iggy & The Stooges in 40 years has appeared online overnight, Burn being the first taste of the band's Ready To Die LP which will be out on Friday 26 April.

While The Stooges released The Weirdness back in 2007, Iggy was quite adamant that that particular band died with the passing of the great guitarist Ron Asheton. He was replaced by James Williamson, who helped write and record Raw Power as a member of Iggy & The Stooges back in 1973 and this new record will be the second to be released under that name.

Williamson is prominent on this new track, his distinct playing style cutting through the pounding bass and the unmistakable croon of the great Iggy Pop.
