This year marked the third International Women's Day breakfast event from One Of One, an organisation that puts the "spotlight on women in the Australian music industry."
The event, which brings together mentoring experiences, keynote speeches and an awards ceremony, aims to showcase and highlight some of the most important and significant work and people in the industry.
The Melbourne event took place at the newly reopened Esplanade Hotel, while a sister event took place at Sydney's Barangaroo Event at the same time. This was One Of One's first year branching the event to Sydney.

Performances from Kee'ahn, Laura Jean and Ainslie Wills & Gretta Ray were among the highlights of the Melbourne event, which also included an emerging keynote address from Her Sound, Her Story creators Michelle Grace Hunder and Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore.
Artists Linda & Vika Bull gave the keynote address, sharing their experiences from working in the music industry for 35 years.
"After 35 years we feel like we’re just hitting our stride," shared Linda.
"We need champions and advocates," they said of the future of women in the industry. "We need more role models - women who are authentic, who are powerful, who are very good at what they do."
The Unified Emerging Grant this year went to Bad Apples' Coco Eke, while the 2019 International Women's Day First Peoples Emerging Artist Fellowship went to Allara.
"We're so happy with how the event went. A lot of the speeches were really emotional, and raw and honest, and there were tears in the room," shares One Of One's Sarah Hamilton.
"It was a really special thing to be a part of, watching everyone else. And the performers were great, so [we're] really happy with how today went."
