After cancelling his headline performance at Breakout Festival Canada Lil Baby's fans started a riot within the festival grounds.

Moments before he was set to hit the stage, a spokesperson from the festival took to the PA to announce that he would not be performing due to significant illness.

Baby then took to his Instagram stories to apologise to fans stating, "I would like to start off by saying I truly apologize Vancouver, Canada, the Breakout Festival and everyone who was in attendance,

"I have been going so hard these past few months without any breaks, that it finally caught up with me and my body completely shut down. I owe you guys big time and will, for sure, make up for it soon."

From there, fans turned to destruction, lashing out at the festival site in disappointment. Footage shows the audience destroying tents, raiding merch booths, smashing equipment and throwing garbage.

A representative from the venue, PNE Amphitheatre provided a statement to XXL which read, "Following an announcement that the headliner at BreakOut Festival would not be performing, fans turned their disappointment into anger, doing significant damage to the PNE Amphitheatre and parts of Hastings Park.
