Grab yourself a piece of music history
It's a good day to be a Lou Reed fan, with the late Velvet Underground founder's representatives this morning revealing on Facebook that a mind-boggling array of Reed paraphernalia has been put up for grabs on online auction house eBay.
Although Reed's "most important" possessions will remain the possession of archivist Sister Ray Enterprises, a great deal of equipment and road cases will be put up for sale over the next few weeks, with the proceeds being used to help develop the fledgling Lou Reed Archive project.
Reed's representatives have said that new items -- all of which are authentic pieces used by Reed and his band on tours -- will be added to the auction list every few days, with the pool of items being drawn directly from Sister Ray Enterprises' holdings.

So far, the haul includes a couple of controller keyboards, a pedal power supply, preamps, a mastering processor, and effects pedals and rigs.
The first wave of Reed goodies will be up for auction for about the next week or so, with initial prices ranging from $US100 (Eventide power supply) to $US1200 (Pendulum preamp and modules). Head on over to the Lou Reed Archive store page to scope out the rest of the range, and keep an eye on it for future product additions.
