He hasn't released an album since 2014, but it appears veteran Canadian songwriter Leonard Cohen is gearing up to drop his fourteenth studio album sometime this year.
As Flavorwire pointed out, a statement posted to Facebook on Friday confirmed that the 82-year-old artist will release a collection of "haunting new songs" for an LP titled You Want It Darker.
The album is already being described as a "masterpiece" and it's expected to drop sometime between September and November.

Cohen's past two offerings, 2014's Popular Problems and 2012's Old Ideas, both peaked at #1 in the US, while they also peaked at #6 and #2 respectively in Australia.
The news comes only days after it was revealed the acclaimed singer penned a heartfelt farewell letter to Marianne Ihlen, the woman who inspired his lauded track So Long, Marianne, in the days before her death last month.
