Is the rock star set to make sweet music Down Under?
Reports have surfaced that rock music icon Lenny Kravitz could be setting up a recording studio in the Gold Coast.
According to goldcoast.com.au, Kravitz has been approached by developers of the $1 billion Jewel project in Surfer's Paradise to run a studio that will record for major international artists. Jewel is a six-star resort development which will feature luxury apartments, restaurants, cafes, beach clubs and day spas to name a few.
RDG developer boss Steven Haggart confirmed that he had just returned from talks with Kravitz's team in Miami, where one of his studios is based.
"Lenny Kravitz has one of his recording studios in Miami and he was one of the brands we have been talking to," Haggart said.

Haggart also said the had spoken to other potential industry figures and the impact of having someone with Kravitz's profile in the area would do wonders for the local music business.
"There are major opportunities," he said. "We could see unplugged venues springing up around the recording artists who come to the Gold Coast to record an album."
