New details for the Melbourne and Sydney shows

The Melbourne and Sydney headline dates for revered electronic act Leftfield have been rescheduled following the announcement the initial venues will no longer be able to host the events.

The highly-anticipated shows from the UK act were set to go down at Melbourne's Yarra Valley Estate and Calais Estate in New South Wales in a couple of weeks, but have now been moved to clubs, seeing the Sydney show pushed back two days.

Leftfield will now perform at 170 Russell, Melbourne on Sunday 21 Feb and Metro Theatre, Sydney on Monday 22 Feb, as well as their previously announced Perth Festival date.

"I didn’t want to let down any Leftfield fans. Now that we are going to be in the cities, we just want to pack these rooms out and come together with our fans whom we haven’t seen for 5 years, dance music maestro and Leftfield founder Neil Barnes said.

“We had various options on what to do when we found out about the cancellation of the two events, but as far as I was concerned we just had to come to Australia."

Having dominated the dance scene in the ‘90s, they’ll bring their new record, Alternative Light Source, to Australia for the shows.

Frontier Members pre-sale goes live Wed 10 Feb at 2pm AEDT with general public sales available from Thurs 11 Feb at 4pm AEDT.
