The supports for the Sydney and Brisbane shows have been revealed this morning.
The tour of Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ranaldo and his band is rapidly approaching, so if you haven't yet scooped up a ticket we'd suggest doing so sooner rather than later. This morning the support acts for his two non-Melbourne Festival shows have been announced, with two lucky acts getting the chance to open for this indie legend.
For the Sydney show, Melbourne trio Pony Face have scored the gig to open for Ranaldo and co at the Oxford Art Factory, their blissful, sweeping soundscapes and serious work ethic impresing the promoters enough to score them the gig.
In Brisbane, local indie group We All Want To have scored the coveted slot for the show at The Zoo. Led by Screafeeder's Tim Steward, the band comprises of a bunch of well known folk from around the Brisbane scene and together they play a diverse range of musical styles that go from power-pop to folk and blues seamlessly.
