Australian country music legend Lee Kernaghan is set to receive a prestigious award at this month's Golden Guitar Awards in Tamworth. 

The Corryong-born songwriter has been announced as the 2018 recipient of the Sanity Top Selling Australian Album Of The Year for his The 25th Anniversary Album LP.

Released in March last year, the record debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums chart and features hit singles such as Damn Good Mates and Outback Club Reunion.

Meanwhile, a string of big-name performers have been confirmed for the annual ceremony taking place on Saturday 27 January including Kasey Chambers, The McClymonts, Travis Collins & Amber Lawrence, Shane Nicholson and The Bushwhackers featuring John Williamson and The Bush Choir.

"The artists announced to perform at the 2018 Toyota Golden Guitar Awards will showcase the many different styles and genres of country music being performed and enjoyed today," Toyota Golden Guitar Awards Executive Producer, Peter Ross, said.

"They are all a testament to the quality and depth of talent we have in Australian country music across a range of genres, with a great mix of established and up-and-coming artists set to entertain all those in attendance."
