Time for 24 hours of complete digital detox — replace Instagram, Facebook and emails with campfires, crafts, and karaoke at the second annual Death Valley Fun Camp.
Run by The Grates' John Paterson and Patience Hodgson, Death Valley Fun Camp is a chance to forget about adult responsibilities. Escape the city and enjoy some wholesome camp activities like zipline, kayaking and archery as well as three meals of campfire cooking by Jacob Knauth and drinks by Young Henry’s Beer and Cider, with profits from food and drinks donated to the Kids Helpline.
Paterson and Hodgson have found themselves innovating in the cafe and bar scene in Brisbane with their venues Southside Tea Room and Death Valley Bar.
Campers will also be able to catch a set from the Top Shelf Wedding Band featuring members of Velociraptor.
The camp will take place just one hour outside of Brisbane in the last weekend of May at Lake Moogerah School Camp Grounds.
