It's shaping up to be a big one

Ever-evolving Victorian music festival Leaps & Bounds has locked down a July return as a handful of local legends join the creative team.

The diverse 10-day event will open on July 13, with more than 900 acts to be announced across 50 venues in Fitzroy, Collingwood, Richmond, Abbotsford, North Carlton, Clifton Hill and North Fitzroy.

Former booking agent at Premier Artists and Mushroom Group as well as a musician and founder of Press Play, Sean Simmons signs on as the festival's Head of Programming, with Belinda Collins - who comes from working closely on The Age Music Victoria Awards, White Night Melbourne and Melbourne Festival - dealing with partnerships and events.

Publicity and marketing will be handled by This Much Talent and Besser Space’s Sarah Guppy, while festival founder Justin Rudge makes a return in a new role as Industry Development Coordinator, and Jason Tamiru is confirmed as the Indigenous Advisor.
