Big news.

Proving just how big an impact the Australian music scene is making globally, some of Australia's leading industry figures have ranked in Billboard's prestigious International Power Players List of 2017

Executive chairman of Mushroom Group Michael Gudinski, Universal Music's Asia Pacific President George Ash, chairman and CEO of Sony Music Australia Denis Handlin and Australian-born Charles Caldas, CEO of Merlin Network, have all been recognised on the list amongst some other impressive names, including Richard Russell, who signed Adele, and Simon Cowell.

Billboard specifically recognised Gudinski as a "leader in Australia's music industry for more than four decades", noting his recent promotions for Bruce Springsteen local run, as well as Justin Bieber's first-ever stadium tour of the country.

All three Aussie names recognised in the International Power Players List also featured in the top ten of the 2016 AMID Power 50, with Gudinski taking out top spot, while Ash and Handlin placed at #3 and #4 respectively.
