The new signing brings a wealth of experience to the table

Stalwart Fitzroy venue the Laundry Bar has announced that it has brought on board a new booker with reams of experience to ensure the celebrated space continues to deliver the calibre of gigs it has become well known for.

Blake Gilchrist, of High Fi Events, has signed on to book the Laundry Bar's upstairs space, and brings to the job knowledge and expertise built up over several years touring internationally renowned artists such as Ghostface Killah, MF Doom, Lyrics Born, Andy C and many others. He has spent time as the Adelaide representative and licensee for beloved dance event Future Music Festival as well as Summadayze, so it's safe to say that punters can expect not just a maintenance of quality in the venue's offerings, but very probably a raising of the (Laundry) bar as well.

Join us in welcoming Blake to the Laundry Bar's family, and get keen for the raft of goodies he's sure to bring to the table in the near future. Head to the venue's Facebook page to acquaint yourself with their offerings, starting with tonight's upstairs punk night and downstairs' rap battles and gig featuring Wyo, Motley and Jesse James, while tomorrow will see the last-ever Pressure Drop event, so get on your dancing shoes and head down Fitzroy way to get your groove on.
