Lake Street Dive Lead Fremantle Arts Centre’s New Year’s Day Party

If how you spend the first day of any new year is indicative of how the remaining 364 will roll out, then the ninth instalment of Fremantle Arts Centre’s massive New Year’s Day concert, headlined by Brooklyn soul-pop outfit Lake Street Dive, is definitely the place to be.

The picturesque venue has summer written all over it, with the US headliners not only joined by local gems Soukouss Internationale, Odette Mercy & Her Soul Atomics, Sunshine Brothers and DJ Butter Chicken & Friends, but an eclectic range of food of drinks to match the diverse bill.
