Lady Gaga paused her second show in Sydney on Saturday (13 December) after one of her dancers fell off the stage.
The incident occurred during the MAYHEM highlight track, Garden Of Eden, which the American pop star performs early in the set. It was pouring with rain on Saturday, and Gaga, her band, and dancers were strutting along the slippery stage.
“Stop, stop,” Lady Gaga said as the dancer, Michael Dameski, slid off the Accor Stadium stage and onto the ground, in front of excited fans.
“We just had an accident on the stage.”
Gaga then paused the show for approximately five minutes as her band and dancers waited for the all-clear, leaping to the ground to help her injured dancer. “Are you okay?” she asked as the dancer got back to their feet.

The show remained paused as all of Gaga’s dancers were given additional grips for their footwear to prevent further slips and falls throughout the evening.
As Gaga climbed back on stage, she received massive applause and cheers.
“Hey! I’m back,” she said, addressing the crowd.
She continued, “Everyone, just bear with us tonight with the rain. We’re doing a lot of dancing up here, so it’s a slip and slide.”
You can see footage of the incident below.
After the concert, Dameski took to social media to assure fans he wasn’t seriously injured.
“Hey, everyone! I’m ok. Thank you for checking. Happy I was able to finish the last show of the year!” he captioned a clip on his Instagram Story. In a second clip, he added, “The show must go on!”
The slippery stage didn’t stop Gaga from delivering a monumental performance, though, with the Poker Face singer performing 31 songs – some shortened, some extended – throughout the evening.
Lady Gaga just concluded her first Australian tour in eleven years in support of her latest album, MAYHEM. She performed in stadiums in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, with additional nights announced prior to the shows to keep up with extraordinary demand.
