L-Fresh The Lion, Julia Jacklin Lead 2016 SMAC Nominees

The 10 categories cast a wide net over the state’s music, arts and culture scenes, and since its debut in 2008, the likes of local favourites Flume, Hermitude and The Preatures have picked up awards.

Public voting is now open until 5pm on Tuesday 20 December with winners unveiled at Carriageworks on Tuesday January 17 with performances by Record Of The Year and Next Big Thing nominee Jacklin and Best Song and Record Of The Year nominee L-Fresh The Lion, as well as Middle Kids, also up for Best Song and Next Big Thing.
