A new one-day festival showcasing reggae, soul, R&B, contemporary Indigenous sounds, culture and more is making its way to Brisbane in 2027.

Held at Eatons Hill Outdoors on Saturday, 30 January, the new all-ages festival – titled 8th Wonder – has brought together music icons from Australia, Aotearoa and the wider Pacific.

The inaugural event features headliners L.A.B., who will be joined by South Summit, Te Wehi, Sir Dave Dobbyn, and more. Check out the full line-up below.

The Early Bird pre-sale opens on Friday, 3 July, at 10 am local time. The general sale follows; find more ticketing information on the 8th Wonder website.

L.A.B., Loop, and the Comiskey Group have created 8th Wonder, with the former also listed as a foundation partner of the festival. A week before the event heads to Australia, it’s scheduled to make its debut at Village Green, Rotorua.

L.A.B. are record breakers across charts and radio stations, have released 19 multiple-times Platinum singles, 11 Gold singles, and six multiple-times Platinum albums. Their headlining performance at Eatons Hill Hotel marks their sole, exclusive Australian show this coming summer.

8th Wonder has been developed around reggae, roots, soul, dub, R&B, and contemporary Indigenous sounds. It’s an artist-led celebration of music, culture, place and connection.

L.A.B.’s Joel Shadbolt said of working on the festival, “We’re really excited to be a part of 8TH WONDER. It’s been over 10 years since L.A.B played our first festival, and in that time we’ve been lucky enough to play festivals across the world.

“We think this line-up and what 8TH WONDER is going to offer is going to be a really special day out. There’s not many festivals where you can bring your kids along, and whānau is a really key part of L.A.B, so for this to be all ages means it’s going to be a magic day.”

Loop’s Michael Tucker added, “8TH WONDER has been built as an artist-led festival from day one. We wanted to create the kind of event we’d love to go to ourselves – incredible music, room to breathe, artists you can actually get close to, and a day that feels welcoming for everyone.

“It’s boutique by design, and Brisbane’s summer energy feels like the perfect setting for the first Australian edition – we think that will make it something really special.”
