Pop music hero Kylie Minogue will release a new single next week, the Spinning Around singer revealed on Twitter yesterday.

Her new track, 10 Out Of 10, will be released next Wednesday, 5 April and features DJ Oliver Heldens

She tweeted the announcement: “Drum roll please… my new track ’10 out of 10’ with @OliverHeldens is coming April 5th! I can’t wait for you all to hear this [heart emoji] 10/10 to Oliver!!”

A snippet of the song in the form of a neon graphic video accompanies Minogue’s tweet, with her singing, “You know I'm gonna give you 10 out of 10, you know I'm gonna love you, love you to death, you know I'm gonna give you 10 out of 10 I'm gonna give you something you can't forget, baby all night again and again…”

A few months ago, it was revealed that Minogue was back in the studio working on new music.

“I've been making albums now for over 30 years, but each one is a different journey. I'm ready for new music,” she was quoted as saying by the UK newspaper The Sun.

She continued, "I can't reveal what the sound is yet, but it is all super exciting. It's always a challenge to find that next sound.

"My last album [Disco, released in 2020] was mostly made during lockdown. To be back in the studio with some of my favourite people is simply a joy."

Kylie Minogue delighted fans with Disco, a return to her pop roots following her 2018 country pop-inspired record, Golden. She last toured Australia in 2019.

In a recent interview with the Irish News, Minogue was careful not to give too much away about her new music, but she did tease numerous different styles that would appear on a forthcoming album.

She described her new album as a “pop-dance exploration”.

She added, “I can’t give too much away, but there’s some 2000s electro, Nineties house and what I like to call emoto-pop. I can’t wait to share this with fans and enter the next era of music and live performance.”
