Sludgy, psychedelic rockers Kylesa have posted an update from the studio regarding the progress of their fifth studio album. Kylesa have also given their fans a glimpse into the studio by posting some studio photos that are available to view here. The band writes: “Week one at the Jam Room Studios of Columbia SC. After a week of intense tracking we have basic rhythm tracking completed. Luckily, the casualties have been few and the sessions are going great. We couldn't be happier with the progress thus far. We have been eating, sleeping, and living this music for a while now and the process of recording them really brings it all to a new level for the band. The songs are really starting to take shape, each becoming there own entity. Everyone at the Jam Room has been working extremely hard and accommodating the band at every level to make this record possible. Here are some pictures from this past week. We will continue updating and posting info and pictures in the coming weeks....

Kylesa are working on the follow-up to their 2009 album, Static Tensions. Their new album will be the band’s first on Season of Mist Records.
