Kurt Vile & The Violators

Philadelphia's Kurt Vile & The Violators are on the Laneway line-up, were last night announced for the Sydney Festival, and this morning have added dates to their visit.

As well as taking part in the Big Star tribute, and having shows with the band and solo for Sydney Festival (details of those here) and following Laneway around the country, Vile will play shows Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 February at Melbourne's Corner Hotel.

Vile's latest album Walkin On A Pretty Daze has been his most commercially successful to date and will soon be released in a deluxe edition with new EP It's A Big World Out There (And I Am Scared).

Tickets for the Melbourne dates are on sale now.
