"Messed up is about situations that we can get into that we know are bad for us, but it's also the reason that we are drawn to them."

Pop savant KUČKA has today released her new single Messed Up, the beginning of a stream of new music. The release comes ahead of her highly anticipated performance at the Sydney Opera House for VIVID Live.

The single follows her seminal debut record Wrestling, which was created in the wake of huge collaborations including A$AP Rocky, Flume, SOPHIE, Vegyn, and more. With the record, she depicts experiences of love and growth, in a sonic realm that was unlike any music recorded before it.

Now she turns to Messed Up, a UK garage tinged, yet futuristic number. It features sizzling bass, broken, glitchy vocal breaks and her one of a kind cosmic vocals.

In her own words, KUČKA reveals, "Messed up is about situations that we can get into that we know are bad for us, but it's also the reason that we are drawn to them.

"I actually wrote this song a few years back but could never get the production to work. A few months ago I sat down with it again and decided to start the production from scratch and everything just clicked within a couple of hours."
