South African modern rockers Kongos have announced their first tour of Australia.

The alternatives have made quite the name for themselves in the US, spending five weeks at number in the Billboard Alternative Chart with their best known single Come With Me Now. The success of that song and their latest album Lunatic has seen the band tour with the likes of Kings Of Leon and draw comparisons to everyone from Mumford & Sons to Arcade Fire. Here's what all the fuss is about if you aren't up to speed already:

Kongos will visit out shores this November, playing dates in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide with local rockers Kingswood the main support act.
