Koi ChildRecently announced as Tame Impala's on their Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane dates in November, Fremantle seven-piece hip hop/jazz outfit Koi Child have announced their own headline tour dates in Melbourne and Sydney to coincide with their appearance at BIGSOUND in Sep.
They have also released a video for their track, Black Panda, which features a cameo by Pond's Nick Allbrook.
The Tame Impala invitation is the natural extension of the fact that Kevin Parker has produced the forthcoming debut Koi Child album. Parker first invited them to open for Tame Impala the night he caught an experimental jam involving two local groups that then merged to accept the invitation.
