God only knows...

More KISS More KISS

Following reports that Donald Trump's camp are struggling to find high-profile names to perform at the President-elect's inauguration next month, you can now add US outfit KISS to the decline list.

Speaking to TMZ, bassist Gene Simmons' wife, Shannon Tweed, jumped in when asked if the band would play at the ceremony, repeatedly saying "no".

Simmons seemed much more mellow in his response though, saying,"I think people should get over it and move on. He's our president and that's it".

The musician revealed that the band will be touring throughout Europe during the time of the event anyway, however Tweed jumped in again, saying, "That's not to say they didn't ask".

Simmons' daughter added, "They asked and they politely declined".

TMZ have also reported French-Canadian singer Celine Dion has also knocked back an invitation, simply due to the fact she'll be performing in Las Vegas as part of her residency in the city.

Trump's camp may actually be in luck however, with Billboard reporting that US rock legends The Beach Boys are considering performing at the inauguration.

A statement released by the band reads, "The Beach Boys have been asked to perform as part of the inauguration festivities.

"But no decision has been made at this point as to how or whether they will participate. We will let you know as soon as a decision is final."

The only acts currently confirmed to perform includes America’s Got Talent 2010 runner-up, Jackie Evancho, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and The Rockettes.
