Kirin J Callinan ProfileWith the Brooklyn art rockers' Vivid LIVE gig at the Sydney Opera House fast approaching, TV On The Radio have announced that Sydneysider Kirin J. Callinan will be bringing his solo stylings to the stage as the band's support.
Ben Marshall, Vivid LIVE's Curator, says of Callinan, "Like a Young Talent Timer who's gone horribly, terribly, brilliantly off the rails, Kirin J. Callinan is a bright, vital spark in our musical landscape who will be confounding and dazzling us for a long time to come."
Callinan has already wowed audiences overseas, with rave reviews from the New York Times and Pitchfork and a live show that's said to be enigmatic and one to remember.
TV On The Radio will play two shows in Sydney as part of the Vivid Festival of Music, Arts and Ideas on Monday, 8 June and Tuesday, 9 June, though they'll also play some headline shows in Melbourne and Brisbane while they're in the country.
