Aussie artist Kirin J Callinan has hit back at Jimmy Fallon after the US host roasted his collaboration with Jimmy BarnesBig Enough, on The Tonight Show.

Just as he did with Melbourne rapper Bangz' Take U To Da Movies in 2015, Fallon featured Callinan's track on his 'Do Not Play' segment on Tuesday night, in which he goes through a number of music acts and their songs that he encourages people to never listen to.

After airing a snippet of Big Enough, Fallon quickly interjected saying, "Alright, stop, stop stop, stop it."

Noting Barnes' vocals on the song, he added, "It's not me doing that scream. He really just kept going higher and higher".

Callinan has since taken to Instagram to respond to Fallon's comments, saying The Tonight Show host has "insulted a nation".

"Whilst it might be fun to sit on your tv throne in the land o make believe n believe u can b’little the little fella," Callinan said.

"Truth is you've less made a mockery of me, more shown your inexcusable ignorance &, in the process, insulted a nation."

Barnes has also responded to the segment, backing Callinan's statement.

"I’m with you Kirin," the Aussie legend wrote on Twitter.

"I think you are a very talented young man. Tell Jimmy if he’s not careful we will move next door to him."
