Kingswood Return To Old Haunts For National Club Tour Dates

The stalwart rockers will play nine shows across five states this November

More Kingswood More Kingswood

It's been a somewhat tumultuous year for Melburnian rock outfit Kingswood but they're looking to cap it off in big'n'boisterous style with a national run of shows that will take them to metro and regional areas across five states, including to some venues they've not visited in several years, in November.

The band will kick off their upcoming sojourn in Chinchilla, at the Fusions Of The Field event with triple j host Alex Dyson, and head to Toowoomba before leaving Qld for stages in Adelaide, Bridgetown (for the town's eponymous blues festival), Perth (for the city's clumsily named '96FM Kick Start Summer Of Music Concert'), Sydney, Albury and home to Melbourne before heading back up to the north-east to touch base with Brisbane and FNQ de facto capital Townsville (well, technically on nearby Magnetic Island, but still).

Having experienced points both low (the departure of bassist Jeremy Hunter) and high (headlining April's inaugural Moonee Tunes festival, their imminent spot at Blues At Bridgetown), Kingswood are ensuring they wrap the year on their typically lofty terms, especially given the madness of 2015 before it, which saw them both sell out venues on their Microscopic Wars national tour last year and support Aussie heroes AC/DC on their massive Rock Or Bust stadium tour.

In fairness, that would be a hard act to follow up for any band, so rather than attempting to do so directly, Kingswood have spent a solid chunk of the year in-studio working away on their eagerly awaited sophomore full-length, and the upcoming tour is a welcome chance for the band and their fans to get together and have a damn good time in each other's company, as is tradition.
