After being forced to postpone screenings last month, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have today announced they'll be releasing their feature-length music documentary film and accompanying double album in a few weeks.

After releasing three live albums for bushfire relief in January, the Melbourne outfit have confirmed that Chunky Shrapnel will premiere online on 17 April, with the record then due out on 24 April; check out the trailer below.

Chunky Shrapnel was made for the cinema but as both concerts and films are currently outlawed, it feels poetic to release a concert-film digitally right now," frontman Stu Mackenzie said.

"Get the loudest speakers you’ve got, turn ‘em up and watch Chunky on the biggest telly you can find. Get heaps of snacks and convert your lounge room into a cinema.”
