As part of the annual St Kilda Film Festival, the SoundKILDA Music Video Competition is back once more and has announced this year's finalists, with a number of prominent and well-loved musicians receiving nods.

Among the 17 finalists are King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard's People-Vultures (directed by Jason Galea and Danny Cohen, produced by Ruth Morris), Courtney Barnett's Elevator Operator (directed by Sunny Leunig, produced by Emma Haarburger), Client Liaison's World Of Our Love (directed by Mike Greaney and Aaron McDonald, produced by Mike Greaney and Darcy Prendergast) and Lisa Mitchell's Warriors (directed and produced by Josh Harris).

Other notable names include Dan Sultan, RUFUS and Ball Park Music all going up for five categories: Best Music Video, Cinematography Award, Best Editing, Craft Award and the Audience Choice Award.

City Of Port Phillip Mayor Bernadene Voss says, "St Kilda Film Festival is proud to showcase the best work of Australian music video makers, linking music and film together as part of the fantastic SoundKILDA.

SoundKILDA Music Video Competition will be held at the St Kilda Town Hall on 25 May.
