It's happening!
Pop culture superstar Kevin Smith has taken to Twitter to confirm a Jay & Silent Bob reboot is currently in pre-production.
There’s been a lot of talk in recent years around sequels for Clerks and other iconic titles from the writer/actor, but it seems the next instalment in the Jay & Silent Bob universe is within reach, with Smith and Jason Mewes set to reprise the beloved roles.
“Spent the first day of 2019 having a #JayAndSilentBobReboot pre-pre-production meeting,” Smith tweeted, before stating that this year would be the “year of the REBOOT”.
Jay & Silent Bob made their debut in Smith’s seminal 1994 flick Clerks, before scoring their own film in 2001, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! May you accomplish all the things you dream of doing (unless you dream of hurting people)! 2018 was the year that almost killed me, but 2019 will be the year of the REBOOT! pic.twitter.com/IRlRcgmArY
